My name is roadtrip and i'm a kz holic
21 Jul 2007 23:00
HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!!
A site for my beloved KZ...
I have a 1977 KZ650 C. I bought it back in the late 80s and then sold it to buy "newer" bikes. I managed to re aquire "lucy" and soo starts the long process. While I am happy I got her back. I'm upset that the "other" ownenes would have let such a princess get in this condition.
I'm in the la puente/city of industyr part of so Cal.

Welcome to the site, there are several 650 C owners here. Bad Kaw doesn't fall into that category but I'm sure you will hear from him soon too. This is a very visually starved bunch here so I'll be the first to say it.....WE need pics. I'm sure you will find any help here you might need in resurecting "Lucy".

Welcome to KZr roadtrip!
How cool is this?
Not only another new So Cal KZr member, but one with a KZ650(BadKaw, are you seeing this? ), and one who lives in my old stomping grounds! :woohoo:
I used to live in "La Pew-ente".
Just south of Temple ave right near Workman HS, and had a view from my front yard of the west side entrance to the Industry Hills Equestrian center.
I'm living in Covina now (near San Bernardion road and Citrus ave.), so I'm still only a stones-throw from there.
As Bluemeanie stated, there are quite a few of us (about 15 or so IIRC) So Cal KZr members. Some are even within less than a 30 min ride from you.
We try to plan at least a few rides during the summer months, as well as a regular (roughly once a month) get-together for breakfast to shoot the breeze about KZ's and to discuss our next ride.
So if that sounds interesting to you, just check the threads ocassionally to see when the next ride or breakfast is planned and come and join us!
Be sure to update your profile to include your location and bike info when you get a chance.
And yes, please don't forget to post some pics of "Lucy" as well, regardless of her current condition.

Welcome aboard, looks like the 650's are going to take over around here. I live in Yorba Linda and used to live over the hill in La Habra for many years. I hope to have my bike on the road soon so I can join the rides, they look REAL fun. I have lots of parts, so do others so let us know if you can't find something.
