If you remove it don't turn the engine. What does that have to do with the carbs?

It has 8455 miles so I would think it wouldnt be piston slap

If you have a full service manual check the procedure to tighten exhaust manifold when its cold in the morning,Not when its hot

this thing runs like a scolded ape,back tire breaks lose at 50mph with a twist of the grip, in 3 gear felt like i was on ice.the kawasaki dealer that owned this bike did a lot to the engine before my brother got it.he painted pro/street on the back fender and I believe it

Would be interesting to know what modifications have been done - spinning the tire in third with throttle only is way above stock Z1R performance, even for the Z1R-TC. What RPM does it run at 60 mph?

How about posting a half dozen or so of pics for us? If it isn't turbo, then it is likely min. 1260 cc for that level of power.

My brother bought this bike from a dealer in los vegas in 82 and was told that the motor had hotter cams weisco big bore kit 1200 i think and the head had been ported.It is not the turbo bike.
