I sell video games. I'm a store manager at Gamestop. I've been doing it for 5 years and I love it. It keeps me close with my kids and I feel like I never have to grow up.

ISO 9001 and AS9100 (Aerospace) auditor. I get to visit all sorts of companies, but mostly small machine shops here in SoCal, and see alll sorts of interesting stuff. They also usually treat me well, i.e., good variety of doughnuts in the morning and "where would you like to gof ro lunch" enquiries around noon. Sure do like this after almost 30 years of a real job, most with the now scattered into oblivion Hughes Aircraft Company.

I am an energy research scientist, or at least that's what is says on my door. I work in CO2 capture and hydrogen production from gassification, otherwise known as clean coal technology. I work for the Energy and Environmental Research Center in North Dakota. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and mathematics. Previously I worked for a heavy equipment manufacturer and designed a radio remote control truck mounted tree transplater. Say that one ten times really fast... ;)

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

I work in the Nuclear industry and have been for about 28 years now. Started as an Operator, then moved to Conventional Safety Tech, then onto Radiation Protection Training, and the last 8 years in Quality Assurance.

Interesting work and technologies all along that path.

Man, I'm an odd one out here. I passed up engineering and took the architecture route. been going to school for 8 years now and still don't have a degree. but i do work for a non-profit design/planning firm and do a bit of grunt work for some local architects. i spend a lot of time keeping my rx-7 running and trying to fix up an 81 kz750 LTD that i bought a few months ago. previous work as a veterinary assistant, emergency vehicle equipment installer, "culinary artist" at a deli(that's what the business cards they printed for me said), did light manufacturing, machining, and electronics work for the world's largest ham radio equipment company.

Spent the last 8 years working in IT at a medical practice. Something like 10-12 doctors, 2 MRI's, 2 sleep labs, plus all the employee's to go with it...all networked and everyone has a computer. There are two of us taking care of all the tech stuff.

Mostly I write the in house medical records, billing, and scheduling software package for the company. All web based.

I worked in a TV repair shop, and a auto garage before that, both for less than a year.
