Clear windshield 1981 750LTD

I have been looking around for pricing on a clear windshield for my 81 750LTD. The problem I'm having is everyplace I look they don't list the 81, only 82-83. Will the windshield from an 82 or 83 fit my 81 or am I SOL?

I'm just getting lazy in my old age. I guess with my bothers being a machinist and welder, anything can be made or made to fit. I was just hoping for plug n play.
Is the 81 the red headed stepchild?

Sorry if i was a little rough to you, but i have to ask what is the different to the 82 or 83 fit to your 81???
It is only a piece of clear plastic to fit right in place,, it could not be so difficult. like rocket science.

Handlebars

Does your bike have the stock handlebars? From the avatar I'd guess yes.
There are numerous different KZ750 Twin & 4-cyl models & the handlebars can vary, affecting fitment.
Post a couple of links of the windshields you're seeing. If a windshield fits an 82 or 83 750H Ltd, then it probably ought to fit the earlier models.

Several years ago I tried a SllipStreamer SS-28 sport fairing. It probably would've worked fine with the stock handlebars, but I had already installed BMW med tall street bars --- they were wider & had less pullback, so the levers & controls contacted the shield.

As far as I can tell everything is stock on this bike. I always thought the 81-83 were all the same. Every windshield I look at lists all years except 81ltd. If it's just the bars it's no big deal. New longer mounting hardware can be dabbed up.
Plug n play would be my first choice though.

If you are looking at universal ones, there's a lot of wiggle room.
