MKII bodywork fit on anything else?

I'm sure the answer is ''not without fabrication or modifications" but it's worth asking. Will MKII bodywork fit on any other models easily? I'm sure some of you guys have different models and would know what it would take. I like the stock bodywork and colors and I'm lusting after an MKII and they make the reproduction complete painted body sets. I just don't want to pay for one. The best I could hope for is to find a really junky one but haven't seen anything like that around me. There are plenty of junky LTD's of different years around. I have a 1978 1000LTD that needs bodywork anyway....

I'm saying I will gladly pay for a repro MKII body set if it will fit on something else. I was saying I don't want to pay for a real MKII for ebay prices, as that's all I've ever seen.

I was wondering the same but just the fuel tank. My z1r tank is not the best and thought mk2 would look cool

Come on guys someone has these models. MKII tank, sidecovers and tail on 1980 LTD? MKII on J model? MKII on 1978 LTD? MKII on 1977 A model? How far off is it. do the seat mounts line up? side covers would fit if mounts were in different spot? How about just the tank- Does the tank fit on other frames? Anybody have junk that they would sell me to figure it out myself? shitty rusted out tank with holes in it? tail with mounts intact but broken off? etc. I would like to figure this out but I can't afford to buy a repro painted set that might not work just to play with....

Well I've seen a MKII style tank fitted to a kz650, but don't know what it took to fit.
I like it.

Matt was his name I believe, possibly a member here.

Then there's DutchZ's (?) kz1000, not sure if it is a MKII:

You might want to look into using a E1/E2 (ST/ Shaft) tank too. They look very similar but they are slightly shorter but slightly taller. They most probably would need mods though.
