Painting KZ Side Covers ? was created by kzdcw
Going to paint my side covers of my 77' KZ1000A with Krylov "Fusion" paint for plastic. One of the covers have a few small porous holes in it. Could I use Bondo to fill up these small holes and would it adhere well to the cover?

Also, what recommended steps would you suggest in prepping the covers for paint ?

I like to use a clear once I paint them and see what clear you might recommend as well ?

That was resin. Next time it will be ABS glue. I used engine coat clear. What kind of filling do you need? Bondo will crack and fall off. The side covers are made out of ABS. Resin doesn't stick like the cement does. I just sand the paint, primer it then apply paint. 320 paper before the primer.

Steve, I didn't realize that the side covers were ABS plastic. I have black ABS PVC cement here at home. I assume you could use that ?
