Emgo Daytona bars on 83 KZ550 LTD?

I'm about to buy new bars for my KZ550 and thinking the Emgo Daytona might fit nicely. But I have a question. Has anyone actually fitted this to their KZ550? I ask because I had another unknown brand/model and there was not enough room on the bar ends to mount the grips and controls and don t want to order these and have to return them. I can't seem, to find exact measurements.
PO must have dropped the bike and the bars I have are bent slightly. Just enough to make my OCD kick in...

I put them on my kz1000 shaft .. i dont see any reason they wont work on your 550.
for me they feel good and put me in a decent riding position..
I had the superbike ones on it before and they made my wrist cramp.

I think the Super Bike bars look better but I'm not sure the controls will miss hitting the tank when bars are turned to the lock.

I have Emgo Superbike bars on my 550 LTD.

There isn't enough room for the turn signals, and the LTD master cylinder and brake line will not work. You need new mirrors as the LTD mirrors will only show your shoulders. LTD cables are too long but they will still work until you can replace them (After 2 years I still have not.) These obstacles are easy to overcome.

Aside from looking terrible, the LTD buckhorn bars were causing me a lot of wrist pain.

thank you all for your responses. I was just sitting in the garage the other day and a nice young fellow came by and fell in love with the bike so I sold it to him. Really hated to see it go but he is a new rider and making a new guy happy is really a good feeling. At least I know it was in perfect shape and he needs to do nothing but ride it.

Now looking on craigslist for another KZ!.... Yeah it never ends...LOL
