I've always wanted to have a place for my gauges or tunes or whatever. It was summer and BLAZING HOT so there wasn't much I could do out side. So like winter for a lot of us, that's when I do the cosmetics on the bike. The problem was how to mount it. I started with a card board cut out. Then cut it out of thin aluminum with the legs. Finally some thick sheet stock once I had the bends right.

This is what I came up with just basic tools.
What cha think.?

Do you mean the template? I think I still have it. The trick was how to go between the gauges and use the bolts that fasten them. The mount is a little rough but with a little more work, it could be stand alone. The rubber trim is door weather stripping cut down the middle. I used what I had on hand. I'll see if I have more pic's.

Hey swest! Cool fab work, man! Mebbe whip up a box to enclose the backside of the radio/storage opening at the top? A bit off topic, but, ~twere it me, I would lighten up my keyring a bit! Seems to me, that I read here it's a bit hard on the ole ignition switch!

Yeah, your right. That hole at the top was meant for keys but it doesn't work.
Thanks
