Calum, I do understand the chain difference and benefits, however my 630 chain is basically brand new(2000miles) and i just bought a new 32 tooth rear. I simply can’t make sense of putting out around $100 for a new chain, and sprocket set when I do have a basically new set on the bike currently. When these do wear out I will certainly be making the switch.

The stock front sprocket is 13T.  Typically, there is enough room to move up 1T, so 14T.  2T up in the front is usually too much.

A 13T 630 chain sprocket is the same diameter as a 16T 530 sprocket.  If, or when, you do make the switch to 530, keep this in mind.  Do NOT use a 13T 530 sprocket, it's way too small.

Thank you Nessism, I was under that impression by the smallest tooth I could get in 530 is a 38 rear tooth. It will unfortunately be quite a while before I will do this upgrade. Definitely will be coming though. Hopefully today I will add some oil to the forks, and install my newly arrived valve shims, then double check my clearances.

I think that was meant for 750 R1.

Z1 told me I cannot return the item because it had been installed. I kinda understand but at the same time they advertised it would fit and it absolutely will not. So I ordered the 14 tooth from a different supplier so I will update by Thursday if the 14 tooth will work. My overall experience with Z1 is good however this is kind of annoying more than anything.

Welp, I found an exhaust on EvilBay for $150. $160.50 shipped. It definitely needs some chrome polish however the only dent it has is a very small dent in the #3 header pipe. Now I can finally use the spare jets I have laying around for my CV carbs.

I’ve done some research on a 4-1 only and it’s recommended to do 130 secondaries as the only change if you don’t have the pod filters. Do you guys think I should do a 62/130 or just install the 65/130 and remove the shims from the current needle setup? Is this just something I will have to test once it’s on the bike?

Well the exhaust didn’t look like much when it arrived. However after some elbow grease I was able to make it look like this
I think I’m gonna change the secondaries to 130 and shim the needle up a smidge and see how it runs like that.

Went to install my “new” 4-1 exhaust and I guess I needed to do some more research on figment because the collars will not make the exhaust figment tight. Figured out I need longer collars from a kz650. So $20 later on EBay… they should be here by March 1st. Bummer. Now I have to put the original one back on if I want to ride this week.

And since it’s gonna be 75° this week in Georgia, I can’t pass up the opportunity

Finally snagged a new ignition cover, you wouldn’t believe what some people have these listed on eBay for… someone apparently didn’t know what they had.
