Look for a reflector of the same size that takes a H-4 bulb. Often called a H-4 conversion to take the place of a sealed beam bulb.

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress

OK, it's in front of you and if you say it is, it is, but not sure how metal can be welded to glass as they have entirely different melting points and expansion rates? At best I would think its glued and glue can be unglued. Where there's a will, there's a way. Could you get a thin blade between the glass and metal?

If it’s a sealed beam, drilling a hole in it will let oxygen in and burn out the filament.
Negative. The light bulb comes inside the sealed beam, with its separate glass bulb. Drill will NOT break the filament.

The bulb inside is glass, and the outside front too, but the housing, frame and everything else is steel.

I'm going to keep looking for a KZ front light that has the same brackets, plus the side light. I'm sure it has to exist.

If it doesn't show up, I'll drill.

We in the UK have pilot head lights. Just looked on ebay UK and there are 6 for sale on the first page. None of them have pilot lights. If they exist I think they would be here but apparently not.
Good luck.

You could look for a complete H/Lamp unit from another model, see below

I have looked for that part model but there are not many available. If anyone knows of KZ models that use this particular weld-in-the-bulb bracket system it would be a great help when looking for the part.

I'm still looking for.

It took 5 minutes to find this one in the Netherlands (you are in Spain I believe), I am sure you will find what you need

It's amazing. I searched for two hours and found almost nothing, and I thought I was a good seeker.

It seems that it coincides with my headlight, in terms of the location of the main and directional brackets. Do you think it will work? Only this doubt stops me.

Yes, I'm from Spain. Thanks.

I'm fairly confident you can make it work, worth the gamble for the money

I finally ordered the headlight for Vulcan 700, it doesn't fit. It has exactly the same brackets but a 1cm larger diameter. I was going to take photos but I remembered when I had already assembled the lighthouse again.

I'll have to send it back.

I'm still looking for an optic for KZ400 with interchangeable socket (H4 preferably but I suppose any other will do) and with sidelight (optional, because I can drill)

Could you not get the vulcan bowl as well to mount it in?
