Broken mounting stud on tach housing

Any idea how to fix this?  Any chance the housing can be dismantled & remove/replace that stud?

What about a left hand drill bit?  Drill into the broken bolt and then reverse the drill to back out the offending broken stud/bolt/screw.  You will obviously need one smaller than the bolt if they make them that small.  Hope this helps.  

That is a blind stud/threaded post that's riveted or spot welded to the bottom of the clock housing.
To get at it for removal you usually have to dismantle the gauge by removing the swaged on bezel and then drill it out from the inside before fashioning a replacement, riveting or brazing it back in and then refit the bezel and recrimp it.
For all the work it's hardly worth going to that extent and the bezels never go back as good as before.
There's many ways to go about repairing it but probably the simplest alternative is to file the remaining 2mm or so of threaded portion flush to the plain shank and then carefull drill and tap up the center to take a bolt of the original thread that snapped off,most likely M4 .
 

Here's a 750 CSR Twin meter to show the studs. The 440 is probably similar.

Agree about it not being worth trying to dismantle...I've tried removing a bezel once before, thanks but no thanks.  Plenty of replacements on ebay too.

Appears the studs are molded into the plastic back of the gauge.

I can think of an easy way to fix that...if getting it taken apart to this level were a simple affair.  No worries...already have a replacement on the way.
