My rectifier finally died On my 75 kz400d and was wondering what people where changing them out with, but lack the specific insight for what might work and will not work . I found a rectifier/regulater on 4into1 .com I am interested in. I know i haft to modify the plug but i think that might be the only thing . I just want to make sure i am not overlooking anything.

I would call the folks at the link below. I bought a rectifier from them several years ago and it works perfectly. Ed

Any standard 3phase rectifier should work. It needs to handle about 40 amps to be safe. Some people get them on eBay for $5 and have reported they work. Requires running new wire.

Do you have a stock rectifier and a regulator as single units or a rectifier/regulator combo unit before?

My bike had the stock rectifier and stock regulater as separate units and I am putting a combined unit on the bike

He has the excited-field type charging system, so he has a field coil to regulate.
