For sure a good idea but I didn’t have one and it was 90 degrees here in the AZ desert when I did mine.

Make buddies with you’ll local heating and cooling company. Get a squirrel cage blower out of an old furnace. They move a ton of air. I have a couple. Great for keeping the shop cool also.

Anxiously waiting for the choke plungers from Zed1015. Today I pulled the bowls because I had a little fuel seepage from what I’m hoping were old dried out gaskets, even though they were new. While in there, I thought I had cleaned out all the little passages but discovered that I missed the choke rod/tube that goes down to the bottom of the bowl. On the end of that tube is a very small hole that I think anyone that is going thru their carbs should check. Mine were clogged. Very easy to clean them out.

hi motomisfit the brass choke tube is easily pulled out using plies its only in the body about 3 mm then you can clear the holes in the bottom and spray carb cleaner through just tap iy back in very gently zed 1015 did my choke plungers 2 years ago and it transformed the bike

Good to hear that. I’m like a kid at Christmas waiting for them.

Got the plungers back today. A big thanks to zed1015 for doing this and also for allowing me to have the 4 top clips I also needed from a seller also in the UK sent to him and he put them in the same envelope. Way cool of zed.Ok, before and after pics. Pretty big difference. When I get the bike back together I’ll post the results.

The choke plungers are in and I must say, the bike runs better. Smoother now off the throttle, the backfires seem to be gone and plugs are not so black. It starts very quickly now as well

A big thanks to all who helped. I learned a ton about these carbs. Merry Christmas!
