The mounting holes are different, the 24mm mount plate is much smaller and holes closer together if you look at the picture.

Appreciate the help Mikaw. I actually found a set of carbs that look like yours selling locally apparently off a 1982 KZ1000. Appear to be 26mm, I believe I could use parts from this to make it work, and have some extra parts for the future. Guy is asking $200. What are these typically worth?

1981 and newer would ha CV carbs. They might be off that bike but not what was installed from the factory. Also I see a remote cable operated choke. I’m not familiar with that on any Kz bike. Possibly Suzuki? $200 is a little high. $150- 180 is more comfortable for me.

Update for the record. I found some 6mm “tufnell” spacers online. Carbs are just barely touching the valve cover now, but the carbs appear to be fully seated into the boots (a bit hard to tell if there’s a tiny gap at the top). Good enough for me to try and get this started up.

Thanks, Dave. Sorry I am new here. The bike runs and idles! I bought this bike in pieces and am piecing it together. Of course I came across a bag of old o-rings within the parts. I have only worked on the top end. I know I installed the right hand orings for the base oil orifices and the base oval head orifice. Any ideas what the left have orings are for? Or is there a master gasket/ oring list somewhere? Making me nervous I missed installing them.

I seem to remember the oval O-rings go around the oil metering jet that plugs into the cylinder on the ends.
