I was hoping someone here may have some of the parts I am looking for, for a reasonable price, so I don't have to take my chances on fleabay. old greek that light you showed in your post is a reproduction, not oem. It does not fit the oem fender and requires drilling either the light bracket or the fender to make it fit. Surely someone here must have some stuff they can part with?

Just checked my dead 75 frame....I can get you a pair of rear passenger pegs and a battery box, I also have a set of both side panels, (repainted non stock colour) I have a Z1 tank but it had the logo area filled, I have a set of headlight ears. I may have a tail section and I know I have a Z1 valve cover. I will look for a tail light. Let me know what parts you want. HTH

That light fits a Z1 fender without modifications. But you're right...it's not OEM.

Again I ask...does your engine S/N begin with Z1E? I suspect it doesn't.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Looks to be a kz1000 engine with the raised oil capacity casting by the engine number

Like Hardrockminer said, there are a lot of things not from a Z1 on your bike. The entire front end is wrong and it looks to me to have a 16" rear wheel leading me to think it may be LTD based. Check your side covers carefully as if you try to attach Z1 side covers a mounting tab on each side will be incorrect.
I would do what is really needed and just ride it as well.

Thank you to everyone who has replied to me, but I am just looking for the parts that I listed. With all due respect I don't need anyone to point out everything that is not stock on the bike. I know the majority of what is and isn't stock. I have posted a bunch of topics on this site in an attempt to learn, and the posts with pictures seem to gain more traction than the ones without. I have a bunch of stuff already and I am looking for what I don't have. The bike runs. I will ride it and enjoy it. I found a turd that I could afford that I can do what I want with, and everything I do will be an improvement over the condition it was in when I bought it. I'm not looking for a discussion, just parts. Also hardrockminer that light does not fit stock fender without modification like I said before.. You can see the same ones on z1parts.net in more detail. Gregz you are correct. Old greek and bluezbike I will pm you.

The tail light will fit a Z1 fender but you don't have a Z1 fender. Yours is KZ 1000.

hardrockminer I'm not sure why you continue to clog up my post when you don't have any parts. I'm looking for parts. Go start your own thread if you want to talk about something. Also, I'm sorry you're wrong, but you are. KZ and Z1 have the same hole pattern to mount the light bracket drilled on the fender. two holes on top, and one hole on the bottom. (I'm going off of memory, it may be opposite.) Whatever the hole pattern, the light you keep referring to has the opposite hole pattern drilled. Do you have one of the reproductiono lights? I suspect you don't because if you did you would see that it only fits the hole pattern on the reproduction fender. Why are you arguing about it when you don't even have one? ? SMH

I think he is referring to the tail section, the blue one you have first photo is kz, Your second photo with black tail is Z1.

I will read your post again and see if I can dig up some parts for you. For sure I have a z1 tailight , cheap.

cheers
gregz

If it's the fender you are referring to the Z1 and early KZ 1000 are the same. I have one I got from The Old Kaw Man in 13. The tails are different but will bolt on. As for clogging up your thread as I see it they were just trying to help.

Yes, I incorrectly said it wouldn't fit your KZ. I was trying to call you out on your claim that the bike is a Z1. I have a KZ1000 in addition to my two Z1's so I know the Z1 tail light assembly will fit.

Follow the link provided by old greek for the repro tail light assembly. That link says it will fit a Z1. It also uses the original Z1 part number to describe the assembly. Also, look at how Z1 Parts describes the same assembly. They say it will fit a Z1 and they use the Z1 part number. Who is right here? Two suppliers who sell them or you who doesn't have one.

Your stubborn refusal to admit you are wrong is the reason I've kept up with this thread. However I can see that it serves neither of us for me to continue. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. So I will bow out now. Good luck with your KZ conversion to a repro Z1.
