Steve haven't seen one of the top cap fill batteries in years. Looks like an old Chevy? If i was Your neighbor, i'd relieve you from all that mechanical/rusty/greasy stuff and we'd have a night on the town. Maybe even pay for a hooker for ya, ha. Unless You're Married, don't want to impose on the sanctity of that. I too spend a lot of time in the garage.
69 Ford F250 Camper Special. Running gear, steering redone or new ( The King Pins were MURDER) strong 390ci engine with three on the floor, HWY gearing all it needs is paint and seats. 2nd owner, helped me raise my kids, hauls more than most trucks without squatting and has never left me stranded. Hopefully I'll be getting to her soon. We call her Bertha.

That's a good ole truck, Ford built them tough back then. I have one of the last good versions, a 93' F250 XLT 4x4 diesel. The diesel option also includes all 1 ton running gear. The 7.3L V8 is the last year of mechanical injection(no computers). I'm the second owner and bought it in early 98' as the last big truck I'll buy. Originally it was non-turbo and a little slow but I installed a Banks Sidewinder turbo system and a Detroit Locker so it could pull out into traffic in the rain without roasting a tire.
I also replaced all the springs and the steering linkage with center link steering to eliminate the Ford wander. After a few years I had the transmission rebuilt with many updated parts and a double clutch torque converter. The truck is a towing and hauling beast and gets 18 to 19mpg on the highway. There's no way I could afford to replace it with a new truck.
