Mark:

It is great to see your progress. I love the paint on the frame.

I guess time has fogged my memory, I could swear the cases looked more damaged than that when I first saw them Mark. :huh:
Maybe it was because when I initially saw the damage it was not long after you had gotten your bike back home, and I remember the frame rail being "imbedded" into the cases. :pinch:

Duane,

Good to see you around KZr again bud! :)

Thanks and nice to hear from you Duane.

Yes Chris The smashed frame made it look worse. I had to cut the bike in half to get it out. I never saw the rear lower mount cracked before.

Mark,

I am certain that bike will belong on the 2008 KZrider Calendar. I am determined to see it in person.

Are you physically able to do any serious riding yet? I expect you will be polishing the metal bits in your forearms too!

Petaluma and Truckee, CA -- member since Jan. 23, 2003;
PREVIOUS KZs: 1980 KZ750H with 108,000 miles; 1980 KZ750E with 28,000 miles; and KZ750H street/cafe project, all sold a few years back.

This is what I do for fun, not for work. It is art, with a little engineering thrown in.

Thanks, Being in the calendar would be COOL.

I think I'll be OK riding, being a collision repair tech should have toughened up enough.

I had the metal taken out of my wrist about a year and a half ago. My wrist works better with out it too. I asked for the hardware but I never got it. I wanted to make something out of it, oh well.

I wanted to run superbike bars, I found some KZ bar risers and cut the lugs off the bottoms they went into the bar depressions. I also shined up the sprocket drive. I may have a polishing problem.

Well I put the engina in the frame last night. It was stripped down to just the block so I had no problem doing it by myself. I put a floor jack under the middle and rapped the frame with some bubble rap and got it in without scratching any thing. Should be looking like a motorcycle in no time.

When I got home from the West Coast Ride while my bike was still in the truck I checked the pipe repair and fit. The old race pipe just clears the mono-shock. I also won a street legal Yosh pipe and I can use it too. I like how it looks better than the race pipe.
