Hi Rob,

I don't think I have a wiring diagram for you. 

My 1977 KZ1000 project will need a custom wiring job made up from two butchered harnesses, and some spare wire/connectors.  Maybe Spring of 2025???

Somewhere in this long thread/project it was suggested that I use a 2X4 and heat to re-shape the KZ1000 plastic chain guard, which I prefer over the chromium guard currently installed.

So I fetched a length of wood and clamped it to the 2X4 where I thought it bowed out.  Then used the heat gun to take the plastic to a temperature where I could still touch it, but not for long.

It worked really well!!  When I took off the clamps the chain guard was much less mis-shaped.

A Shindingen SH775 is what's known as a "Series" type R/R.  These units help preserve your stator by shutting down power generation when not needed, thus keeping it cooler, which extends life.  With a shunt type regulation system, the stator is putting out max power at all times, which isn't needed, and generates too much heat. 

I get that some people want to preserve the originality of their bike.  What I don't understand is why some people spend $100+ on a shunt type R/R, when good used SH775's can be found for half that much.
Would you happen to have a wiring diagram on how the SH775 is wired into a stock '78 wiring harness with the separate Regulator and Rectifier?
