Finally picked up the 1972 H2 Barn Find

Well fellers' I finally finalized the deal with my friend on the H2 barn find.    Had some title issues he needed to fix first, since the original owner has parted the with the living.  

Its rough, like real rough, but the good news is that most of it is there, and I got three complete long blocks, with one of those the original and it's complete with all parts.  
The frame is straight, looks like it never has been down, just left in the barn for 40 years.   There is a some hoaky welding that needs to be fixed on a repair job, but other than that the bones are good.  Of course everything is going to need to be refurbished or purchased new.   There are a lot of reproduction parts for it, I mean a lot.  I don't think there is a part I haven't been able to find yet.  I justified it to the wife by showing her the 73 on ebay currently at 19K with a buy now of 28K.   

It's going to be quite a job restoring it, if I'm not up to it I'll list it here first.

Welcome to the wonderful, smokey, world of the Kawasaki Triples. They are special bikes for sure. 
 

I used to use 'Klotz' brand synthetic two stroke oil in my 72-H2. The smoke and the smell was better than the barbecue.  Good luck with your find.

The PO helped out with the first phase of the project: the teardown! 

More. The ebay  bike is how i convinced wife to let me buy it..investment dear.
