Still got a couple of small jobs to do on the front end before stripping so I can clean up the frame ready for powder coating (I have pretty much decided those ugly headstock braces need to go  ) first on the list was to get the front fender fitted correctly, in my mind this was going to be a "trim" and four new holes - didn't work out that way !!! The Zephyr brace isn't wide enough for the ZX9R forks, also the brace has bushings that stop the plastic being crushed when the bolts are tightened (so much for a quick job) sorted now so onwards tomorrow

Another little job knocked off today, Since I will be using the "sat nav" on my phone I thought a charge point would be useful (too many years in cars) also I wanted some way to be able to plug in an AFR meter for set up that didn't leave wires dangling when not in use so I have gone with a double USB socket. Also made a start on the oil cooler mounts today

Another little job knocked off this evening, oil cooler mounts now sorted (kind of like my alloy bushes) it's a Uni cooler so I know it's suitable for the low pressure motor

Wrapped up the oil cooler today, I wanted to use the GPZ cooler as I know it flows enough for a "J" motor and I wanted an OEM cooler for the look I am going for (could of always been that way) the issue is the cooler uses flanged couplings and I wanted to use "AN" fittings (not least because OE hoses are not cheap) so back to my trusty little lathe to knock out some adaptors. There is something really satisfying about creating your own custom parts to overcome challenges

Funny you mention that Steve   I thought there would be but "not quite" so I need to relocate the steering damper bracket   I guess these bumps in the road come along on a build like this

Nice looking work, especially the fabrication side. Yep, no matter how much you plan ahead, there's always one little something that catches you and makes you reroute or redesign
