Yes that's an option, can machine 10mm from the LH hub, the sprocket bolts directly to it. Prefer to just fit a suitable front offset sprocket, but not found one yet.

I've taken small amounts off a couple of rear sprocket carriers and I'm about to do another one, I've done a front wheel to line up discs and have another to do as well, I think its the easiest solution overall....

With the Dyna S ignition statically timed, sorted out a temporary fuel supply, and in a rush to start the engine for the first time, started to add the oil... it didn't go as planned.

Todays lesson - Ensure the sump plug is fitted before pouring in the engine oil... I'm an idiot...

When I do that three are a LOT more tools laying right under the bike... just to make the clean up last longer by wiping off more stuff!

The only saving grace was that I happen to have some thick cardboard on the floor, still made a mess..... my own fault should've checked first, but I was rushing to try start the engine for the first time...

The sump is now oil tight, but sadly found another small oil leak from the inner transmission cover behind the sprocket. Since the bike has a one off out rigger support with its own inner transmission cover, it wasn't a complete surprise it may cause a problem. I removed the inner plate, hoping to find a problem with the homemade gasket, but no all looked fine. The inner plate was checked for flatness, and was found to be ok.. should be as its made from 20mm alloy plate. The gasket material I'd used was 0.25mm thick, which perhaps was too thin. So I made a duplicate this time from 0.8mm gasket paper. Du to lack of time, not had chance to try it yet and see if the engine is now oil tight. If not, not sure what else to try.

To finish the wiring, I drilled the stainless electrics box to mount the ignition barrel, directly behind the side panel keyhole for the seat lock.

Since I couldn't find a suitable offset front sprocket, had to make one. Using a standard flat Kawasaki sprocket and a centre bore simplex sprocket (made by Dunlop). The standard sprocket.. an old one, had its teeth machined off, leaving a disc with the splined centre. The Simplex sprocket had its centre hole drilled out to fit over the gearbox output shaft, then the rear section was drilled out even wider, so that the splined centre disc would fit snuggly inside. The two were then welded together. Lot of work, but its done now.

After a long long wait the paint is finally being done. The delay was caused by a pigment being on back order for months. First few coats of a pearl red done, next is the other coloured bits. The phone pics don't give a true idea of the colour, it looks too dark / orangey in these pics..

Collected the paintwork today, so couldn't resist fitting to the bike, though the seat and duct tail aren't bolted down in the pic, so the angle of the tail isn't correct. Next I need to fit the badging and the new chrome filler cap. BTW the dark tank stripe isn't black, its a very dark mica blue..
