Looking good, I have the same bike and was wondering how you have your front signals attached, as mine are on the handlebar and I would like to have them attached the same way yours are, perhaps you can post a close up picture, thanks, Tony.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Nice to see another bike similar to mine that has been torn down completely. I see you're getting started on the headache of the wiring harness, I'll be there shortly as well, I'm just finishing up my engine.

A question for you... Your center stand seems to be stopping at the horizontal position. Mine wants to keep moving up until it hits the swing arm. Could you possibly tell me, or show me a pic, of what stops your stand at that position? I don't know if I'm missing a piece in there, or if I have the wrong stand for my frame, or what, but I'm piecing everything together from 2 incomplete bikes so anything is possible.

1981 KZ1000-JK1
She's a beautiful mess, and I've made her all mine

If you're going to work on the wiring harness you may want to check out the link below. Among other things I mention F4 tape - it really is the BEST for securing the wire loom wrappings. Ed

The front signals are a home brew done by the P/O before Dan got the bike and there ugly to me but I'll get a pic tomorrow.

As for the wiring this is an unmolested stock bike other then the stater connecter's the wiring harness
is in real good shape never been cut or hacked up. This was a ride and drive bike when Dan took it apart
to fix a shifting issue.

Nut & bolt night tonight going through them and putting them were they go.

I want to put a windshield on mine and I need for the signals to be seen. Thanks for your time, Tony.

Little update on this bike.
My son had came to town for my b-day so took some time off for that but been back getting some work done.
Wiring is all done and bike power's up like it should, turns over on the starter so today I'll get the carbs and pipe on and see if
we can fire it up.

This morning I painted the tank for my C10 connie and used some K2 clear and since once I activeted it i needed to
use all of it so I rubbed the stock paint real light with some wet 800 grit to keep the old look and sealed it with the clear.
