1976 900 A4 is Next Up

Ok shaft is out. Were do I find the throttle shaft grommets. Partzilla list them as 92071-102

Think K&L makes them. Warning they are around $25eaxh plus shipping.
Siriusconinc.com is a company that carries them

I dont find them at Siriusconic.com. I did find a restoration thread on another site that mentioned Suzuki used the same carbs and their part is identical to kawasaki.

That's what I have heard but not sure.

Gs750 used vm26 carbs, gs1000 used either the 26 or 28s, the difference with them from the kz carbs is the suzuki ones have both air and fuel mix screws.

The grommets from vm24s, vm26s and vm28s should all be the same

Thank you. I was able to order them from a local Suzuki dealer. they didn't have the cap seal but I found them also.

Gday Leon, In every instance of a bent swingarm I've seen, the wheel was also on a bit of a lean, this one looks like that spacers are either wrong, or in the wrong place, the wheel looks fine in the vertical plane ...

Thanks for the input. see below a few more photos with the rear tail section removed. it looks straighter, might be the fender that skewed the alignment

The wheel does look very far over to the right but Ive no experience with these models, maybe theyre all like that. Hows the chain run? Does it look straight? If the wheel is out of line, You might have some unusual signs of wear on the teeth of the sprockets.
Easiest thing to do would be to clamp a couple straight edges ( lengths of angle iron) on the wheels to see how they stand.Also maybe check the shock lengths and see if theres any noticable difference between them.
I hung a load of plumb lines and spirit levels on my frame to check it. Everything looked fine and it wasnt until halfway through the build that I noticed the rear engine mount bolt was bent!! I took it to a frame builder and he straightened it all out and welded in some bracing.

It doesn't look as bad with the rear guard off but its still a bit to the left, It could also be a poorly laced rear wheel, its easy to offset the wheel with the spokes, whether intentional or not, some bike wheels are intentionally laced off center on the hub.... Check the center of the rim in correlation to the center of the hub..

I have restore two of them (still have) and on both the rear wheel are center.
