I have spent a good amount of my weekend trying to get my head around the wiring loom I bought. On the bright side I have an old loom and all the wiring and colours match up. On the "I'm as confused as heck" side the rest of my parts don't natch up. The loom is for a US model and all of the switch blocks, ignition etc The diagram I have is US model so I guess that's a start lol.

Totally forgot the point of that post! What I was so during does anyone out there have a copy of a D1 wiring diagram that's clear and easy to read? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got the fin welded on today and while we were there noticed a completely buggered exhaust bolt hole so filled that too. Next will be to give it a clean up and retap a new hole.

Gave the weld a quick clean up and I think with a little bit more tidying up she'll look like new.

Also had one of those merry wee USPS packages arrive with a few more bits for the top end rebuild.

My dad popped round today with a set off headers he scored for me. Top bugger. In pretty good original condition too. Only blue is dent on the bottom of one header pipe. I don't plan on using original exhaust as I have a Kerker 4n1 stashed away but it's great to be able add them to my stash of original parts.

Well the parts God's have been smiling on me lately. I am always scouring the trader websites and swap meets looking for bits for the Z1R. Months and months and months and nothing. Then.........BAM two great finds within weeks. Went for a 600km round trip drive yesterday and picked this lot for $550 (New Zealand dollars so about twenty bucks US ) Haven't had a good look through yet but there is a new set of coils, new leads, new carb rubbers, new wind screen rubber, new taco cable, new speedo cable.....A happy camper I am as they all bits I need fairly soon.
