Last Week I picked up a 1983 NZ1300 for a street fighter project. This is what Ive gotten done so far,

ZX11 front end put on.

Had to use the steering stem from the original triple in the ZX11 triple .

Have to do a lot of fab work on the rear swing arm to fit the 5.5 inch rim and 180 rear tire.

Very interesting.Im looking forward to this. Im a big fan of uncruisering cruisers. One thing though,please get rid of that front mudguard.Its hurting my eyes!

78 KZ1000 work in progress in Hacienda Heights California and a 82 KZ1100 Spectra And a 1992 ZX11.

The front end and rear rim are from a 1993 ZX11 that was parted out. The rim is 5.5 inches and I'm in the process of modifying it to fit the shaft drive. Unfortunately they do not just bolt right up.

Also will have to modify and reinforce the left side of the swing arm to fit a 180 tire and make a small dent in the shaft drive for tire clearance.

We cut the tail off a 2001 Katana 600 that had a blown motor and will be using that as the new rear sub frame. Or we might fab a sub frame from scratch. will be test fitting today. Hopefully!

Neat stuff man, there is a KZ1300 / ZRX build on the 1300 forum. the big sixes make some amazing street fighters.

There is a pic of another 1300 in that thread that has an extended single-sided swingarm!

Update.

Mounting center shock. Came off a 98 CBR 900RR
Tack welded the rest of the rear sub frame.
Plastics and seat fit well.

Next week:
Reinforce rear sub frame.
Finish mounting new center shock.
Machine new rear 5.5in rim to fit shaft drive.
Modify swing arm to fit 180 rear tire.
