Kiwi KZP

Finally the bushes arrived and forks are back together! Onwards we go then. Forks are back in and the front wheel fitted before I had to go out with the wife for dinner. Tomorrows another day............................

I like the fork boot gaiters.... where did those come from?
I helped a buddy put some on his 2014 Bonneville and it really gave it a nice, modern uptake vintage look.
I might try that look on my KZ.

You get milestone moments whilst building a bike and one for me is when it finally sits on it's own two wheels again!! Engine would be pretty handy now though, better get busy. Officially back on the motor this week. Bottom end is back together, new cam chain is fitted, just need to drop the barrels down to get them honed and start on the head. Phew!

I love the look of the gaitors too, have them on my other bike as well. These ones are the standard KZP issue that came with the bike.

Chopped the side out of the seat base today and the seat is off to the motor trimmers tomorrow for a same same but different recover.

Hey mate if you wouldn't mind please show as much detail on your seat mods. I am currently at this point on mine as well BUT still haven't decided design yet. I am looking for another pan to use so I can still ride mine during the re mods.

Aww. I was with you up to this point. Have you spent any time on the stock KZP seat? It's quite comfy just the way it is.

Lol, yes my butt has spent lots of time on that seat and theoretically if my cunning plan comes off the seat should be just as comfy, all be it having been on a diet. Hold that thought and see what you think when it's finished.

No worries, can do. I will post the photos of the foam shaped up before it's covered later in the week.

Cylinders honed and ready for new pistons. Yah!

Finally got back to the seat. Had a mate help cut it down to the shape I wanted it.....................sat it on the bike and gave it a few tweeks and heyho off to get covered.
