vernons wrote: yes, I definitely like better than v/hines pipe... just so much more of a quality built pipe... access to oil filter is now possible... the only negative I see is the megaphone being tilted out just a bit... could have been tucked in a little closer to the bike.. the pipe has quality design everywhere at half the kerker price and 100.00 cheaper than the vance/hines now... pipe sound's really nice with the quiet baffle insert removed... never even tried it with the insert installed.. best quality baffle you'll ever see for sure.... should be happy that we have the choice's we have as far as pipe's... there all good in there own way...

I agree with you on all points. I was able to suck my meg in about a 1/2 or better with my mount. It helped my eyes a lot! Nice sounding pipe with that quiet baffle removed. Never even tried it with it.

it seems like the delkevic down pipes are a good starting point,

then finish off with whichever tailpiece you like.

seems like guys think it's good quality and all .

If anybody figures out a bolt on to the collector please post here! I'd sure like to get the collector for my J model then put a nicer can on it. Without welding.

The header is a 2 1/2 OD outlet, I used an R6 mid and silencer, the exhaust needs cut and turned in the middle, used a 2 1/2 ID to 2 inch OD coupler, cut, tig, for adapt at header used a wide stainless wrap type clamp. Super tight, no leaks, works for me.

WRONG !....I used an R1 mid and silencer, 2001 model, cut that sucker up, MARK where you want it welded. Any good weldin shop should be able to weld it. I thought my STAR pipe sounded good, this sounds sooooo much better, motor is happy. I have no complaints with the Delkevick header, if it falls off in 2 years, i'll just order another one. A swinger, bigger tire, all different stuff, I didn't want to gamble $800 for a pipe.
