it always amazes me when i see stuff like this.
first off you have the guy who dreamed up this solution and then he had to tell his boss what his solution was,and the boss goes "oh yeah that will be fine" wth! :woohoo:
drives me nuts,do the damn thing right the first time.
i find stuff like this alot, esepecially some of harleys machanical solutions  .

oh well bottom line is i guess it was good enough.

and we all know what good enough is the enemy of,
"BETTER!"

keep up the good work, your getting your diamond all shined up  !

I seem to have misplaced my carb holder bolts. Planned on replacing them anyway, but now I don't have an original to take to ace hardware....anybody know the specs offhand? Kinda wishing I had catalogged/documented the tear down just a LITTLE better! Thanx all!

Interesting! I have 3 different Kawasaki Parts Catalogs for the KZ650 and they all show 6mm x 14mm. I'll post pics when I get a chance. Ed

The 3 different Kawasaki Parts Catalogs I have cover the 1977-78 KZ650 B & C models. They all call for part number 220B0614 which is 6mm x 14mm. I don't know when the change was made on Kawasaki.com or if the 6x18 will fit without bottoming out in the cylinder head. Ed

Hey guys! I poted this question in my "replacing factory exhaust" thread over in the engine section...Need an opinion on whether or not my header is correctly installed...Currently using factory split keepers -vs- the ones that came with the header...Take a look at other thread, (with pics!!!) and let me know what y'all think! Thanx!

Thanx again for all the help so far! As promised over in the engine section, I have posted my first youtube video...I will be pulling V&H back off, and looking again more carefully for stacked copper gaskets, (although I did check the first time, I DID! I swear I did...I really did! lOL!) so, without further ado, I give you the dulcet tones of "Grumpy's toy" (I am thinking about Christening her "Bluella"...mebbe have a "Name that bike" contest! LOL!) Enjoy guys! Thanx again SOOOO much!
