I bought RFY shocks on eBay for $90+shipping. I had them shipped right to Chris Livengood who I paid to rebuild them for $90 including shipping. He is currently building a shock of his own design. The price point is supposed to be affordable. Here is a link to his site

Something new he is doing is offering Spherical bearings upgrade

$200 for a good pair of shocks is reasonable. I was talking about the extensions.

I decided to try some different carbs on the bike. The Mikuni RS36's are to big. After talking to some local guys and Wired George I decided to try some Mikuni BS34's with a stage 3 jet kit from K&N.

Old school Dynojet kit

Still waiting on the carbs but here are some pics

I'm going to have them ultrasonically cleaned then I will get the kits in and once that is done.

I believe under $200 for the fork extensions but I did not ask for a quote.

Your absolutely right Steve. I just want the bike to be a good daily rider.

I have put to much time and money into the bike to not have it run right. I could have dropped another $700 on a new set of CR29s but I just couldn't justify it. They are well recommend by quite a few people. I want the bike to be a dependable daily rider. I want it to run in all areas. Not just full throttle or part throttle. If someone can convince that there is a better set-up out there that won't cost $600-700 I am all ears.

'Figured this (my reply) would come out wrong... :pinch:

OK, There's nothing wrong with the BS34's on a stock build w/air box if you want to just cruz but your's isn't any longer...
I Can't remember what cam you installed or if you stayed with the 1075 displacement but I'll wager a Dr. Pepper right now that you will be disappointed in the long run.

Case in point when I blew up my first build, went with stock 1000cc setup... Did she run yes felt good but........
She didn't pull like she had, didn't give me the Chubby when I pulled her trigger.... :(

Am I running @ mid to full throttle all the time, hell no... but one thing for sure, on these Highway loop roads where ppl are driving like crap, I twist her to get out of the way, avoid a truly bad situation whatever... she responds immediately... You're not going to get that with those BS34's....

New game plan, 1075cc, GPZ-1100 cams, new rebuilt & ported head by Larry , rebuild the CR's.... OH YEAH, now were talking!....

As for elevation changes, all I do is pull out my screw driver & lean out the pilots a tad (1/8th to 1/4 turn), takes what a whole 30 seconds to adjust.... All good to go when up the hill...

Your build do what you want but just think about this for a second before making your final decision...
You're put in a tremndous amount of time and money into this build no doubt, truly get it been there so what's a tad more into it... ;)
Sell the RS 34's and the original 26's you had on Craig's List/e-bay... Should bring in close to the CR 29/31 price.

Another thing to think about.... Where's the air box going to fit in your build....?
Whole slew of posts on BS34's and pods not working out... :pinch:

Anyhoot... Can't wait to hook up for a ride with you, luv to see this gorgeous build...
