Power to ignition system, speedo etcetera will need an AUXILIARY power supply and you can barely fit 2 wires in the port on the M-Unit.

Yep thanks for the heads up but already planned for that. The weather pack fuse block in the foreground is a 4 fuse (Mini ATC). I also will have a 5VDC power supply for the speedo pickup B+.

A little update is that I finished wiring my main panel.

I'll loom it up once I install and verify functionality. I am hoping to begin the engine potentially this weekend. I also have to get my grips to the upholstery shop as well. Last thing I am waiting on is making sure I have the $$$ ready when Stites has his billet triples available. I'll just powder coat my current triples in the mean time....

World's longest build continues....

I got you beat there bud! ;)

that wiring is looking very sanitary. nice work. Why the fuse block? isn't it redundant if you are running the m-unit?

Hey Doc,

We'll just see who finishes first! Lol. As far as the M-Unit it only has one switched AUX output. That is what is supposed to run the ignition, etc.... Well since I have the coils, CDI, speedo, tach, speed senor 5VDC power supply, and want a USB output for a phone charger I needed a mini distribution block. So the AUX supplies all four fuses, then each fuse powers a load.

Installed and started building the harness.....

So a couple updates. Since the truck is at the body shop, my ZRX is wrecked, it seemed to me time to work on the KZ... First, while I was in MN for deer hunting I decided to borrow my brothers lathe to make a part that has been nagging me for a while. Basically a small stem insert that would add some security to supplement my KZ stem install. Now a 3/8” bolt and custom 1/8” thick washer along with the additional press fit should mean I no longer worry about my triple.

I am also making a threaded pin for my PitBull front stand. Then today began to polish and clear coat the front wheel spacers, axle, and rotor bolts. Also installed axle seals. Not bad considering it is a 4” wheel in a drill that is clamped in a vice. Will possibly replace the axle with some trick Ti one from Webike at a later date. Front wheel is back on and my upper triple went back to Stites for further customization.

And it begins.... Started with the upper case and chasing all the threads, finally cleaning of passages, and about to drop the welded and balanced crank into place along with the race cut gears.... More to come tomorrow but I have to go to a Christmas party this evening for work.

More tomorrow....

Ok quick question for the collective. I forgot that I had NOT made up my mind and ordered the APE shift shaft and billet shift drum fork. Anyone got an opinion on these? What I am particularly pondering is that the APE touts its stiffness and resistance to deflection while the one from Brocks states it is designed to flex during a issue and then spring back.

I can see the benefit to both lines of thought, but what say “Ye”?

Good pcs. but not necessary and I almost have to say probably not better than stk on a good cut trans on the street, the flex they talk about is useful to the auto trans drag racers and was the reason they were developed.
