Hope you are on high ground with all the rain hitting your area.
Maybe we need to do a feature on Kool Projects as well as BOTMs ;)
I have been enjoying your build since the start.
Now Back To Work B)

Thanks Dave for the kind words. Yes, we have survived due to sandy soil and "higher" ground here in the low country. Once I get eh foam worked out, will just need to glass the storage pocket into the tail and then the bike will be in pieces for powder coating, so won't be much to see!
Cory when you are ready and the bikes back together send me a PM and I will fix you up ;)

Thanks Leon. This seems to be taking forever. Hope to be riding it next year. Powder coating, seat finished, and paint all hopefully done over the next 3 months while doing engine work.

So playing around some. I am not sure if I like this, but give it some time. I am about to drop it off at the painter for a quote.

The paint I have chosen is expensive, but the design is simple. So the cost of supplies alone is only $2-300 less than having someone else do it. I still have engine and powder coating to pay for as well. Besides paint, I need the following:

-Frame PC'd - I will do the rest myself.
- Cylinders Bored
- Head stage one ported and rebuild by Larry C
- Crank indexed and welded
- Potentially dogs back cut
- Seat upholstered.

That is what I have to farm out. Everything else I will do myself. Need just a few parts yet as well.

Hope so. Can't wait to drop it off at the painter next week. I just realized all I needed was an external blaster and the frame is the only piece I need to send out for powder coating. So we should be in the home stretch. I have everything else I need, except some misc plumbing and engine parts. Going to do some copper line work on this one.....

Cory.

So I picked up my parts from the painter on Friday. Got my quote and need two weeks to get the rest of the $$$ together from the quote. I also needed to quick clean the varnish out of the tank and do a little trimming....

One thing I have not quite been happy with is the fender. Not quite rounded enough or thinned out like the original fender so I started trimming......

Here it is on the bike and striping complete.

One other thing I had been meaning to do is building a tank stand. I used some scrap would and it fits both the ZRX and KZ tanks. Nice for the painter as well. As soon as I get the tank cleaned tomorrow I will drop it all back off at the painter.
