'76 KZ900 (ZRX1200R) Build

Very quick update......it only took 6 weeks for my "government job" at work to be completed, but he came through for me and put my .5' radius notches in it for the clearance of the sprocket nuts and socket. More to follow.

So quick update. Since my wife and I are moving and I am loosing access to a welder and lathe, it was a holiday rush to finish the bike. Started by fitting the rest of my cush drive and cutting the last of the spacers. All went well. I also cut some spacers for the rear grab handles. Here are some pics...

Then I carried it to the other shop and began fitting the exhaust, modifying the mount, smoothing/feathering all welds, removing any excess brackets and braces, mounted the tail, built and installed the undertail, etc..... Here are some pics......

Thanks! Now it will be transferred to South Carolina, then be blown apart and have the chassis powder coated, tins painted, electrical done, upholstery created, and engine work done. Still a long way to go....

So it has been too long since I have laid a hand on this bike. It has been sitting waiting its turn since I got distracted with the ZRX and the C14. Well it took some rearranging and I still need to clean the garage, but it is front and center now and we begin the chassis powder coating and he engine build. Lots of corrosion from the move in the blizzard, so lots of polishing ahead.....fudge..... More to come soon.

Here is where she sat since landing in SC in Feb.

The bikes moved out and garage getting ready for reorganizing.....not much room.

Now we are getting ready........

Thanks, very kind of you to say! I haven't forgotten about the KZ and have been hording more parts for it.... Can't wait to start playing, but dreading the corrosion. Did I mention I hate corrosion?
