Well it has been a while since my last post. I will add a few details and one more photo for now. I have to complete my footpeg mod, wiring harness, get 1/8" shaved off the rear sprocket carrier, buy a chain, and get brake lines. That is the shortest list this bike has had in a while.

Thats one of the cleanest monoshock installs I've seen, not overdone like a lot of them. Great looking bike.

Thanks, I himmed and hawed over how to do it several months and then it was just getting the ride height correct. I will add a side view of the bike soon and show the ride height. It is real close to how it used to be with the twin progressives and aftermarket swinger.

Now if someone could tell me the size and pitch of the stock footpeg mounting bolt on the '77 650 I could get started on finding a longer one to accomadate the brake lever I want to use. Hehehehe, this one is going to be really cool.

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I just put this computer to good work and got the 12mm bolt ordered from fastenal.

Soo I was reading a bit here and there and most everyone is NOT running an oil cooler for a basic big bore (Wiseco 810 10.25:1 comp)? If that is the case I will not continue running the Derale on mine. That does beg the question of way Daddy Kaw put one on the GPZ750?

Well I picked up a 2x4 sheet of ABS for bending into the undertail and to mount the battery under the seat.

I am still not 100% on the small headlight, but it was given to me the last night I saw an old biker buddy of mine. He was a very cool fella, so I feel like that may be the 'chooper' part of the bike, or something. Any way I will get more photos up soon, a little bit more welding to do for the underseat tabs and rear brake master and a coupla more bushing to have turned. I guess it will be next year before I can ride her, legally. ;)

The advice that I was given from Lorcan, the resident 750 turbo master, is that he doesn't run an oil cooler on his 200hp turbo 810cc bike, and he doesn't have any temp issues. Of course he runs his bike in England, which isn't extremely warm in the first place. I live in Newfoundland, which is even colder, so I elected to do without the cooler. As long as my tuning is good and I'm not leaning out, I should be fine.

Well the bolt from Fastenal was a 1.75 pitch, but the length is right. Soooooo, now the hunt continues and I am afraid that I will have to have a $2 bolt get shipped for $8-9. I will try a local spot tomorrow that usually has a little of everything. We'll put that to the test.
