Hi, Everyone. Thought i'd post on here seeing as my zed has a US Drouin supercharger fitted.
Nothing much left of the std machine and ALL my own work.
Body work is being painted and should be done this week.
Fired it up for the first time yesterday and it went on the fourth prod on the kicker which was a suprise (Sounds like a monster and revs like a stroker so should be fun)
Anyone else got one of these Drouins as i'm told they are pretty rare.
One question though. Boost gauge is only showing vac not pressure. Thought it should show boost from tickover or am i missing something ?.(Does it need to be under load in riding conditions?)
Maybe do with with another set of pulleys (22t /30t) if the blower isn't spinning fast enough. Is there any spares out there?. Cheers, Zed.

I am sure someone with way more smarts will chime in....but I dont think that you will see boost on the guage until you open the throtle ...at least thats how it is on my supercharged car.but when you do.....hang on!!!

Thanks guys. Will sort some more pic's and a rundown of the spec's soon. Tail piece is a Z9 ZEDBUTT by UNATEC over here in not so sunny britain. They are selling them on ebay now at around £65 + post without the seat pad so shouldn't be hard getting one shipped. Do you mean no boost showing till i'm actually moving ?. When cracking the throttle the revs go wild but gauge shows vacuum ?. Got a dyna limiter on it as it needs running in(somehow)but a quick flick on the throttle sends the tacho over 7k instantly. Never seen a zed do this even race tuned, spins up more like a four valver than a two and quicker than my mates ZX10R.

Oh! and here's a pic of my other everyday Zed ride. Cheers.

Ok. this is the seller user name. nik-w . EBay Shop is - niks-euro bits . Item number is 170342515780 . Which is the z650 version but he had a '9' version on earlier so he should be able to supply another.
As for the Z1R seat. Thats all my own work :)

the engine will have to be under load to build boost assuming it will react the same as a forced induction car.
