ok, I couldn't wait for tomorrow:laugh:

I figured if 2M4Dale can wade out in waist-deep snow to work on his, I could certainly put up with a little cold.

Oh ... and the snow in my yard between the house and my shop is really, honestly, waist deep and getting deeper with drifting .... OMG I have to dig out the driveways with my killer tractor and the boys running the shovels ... it will still probrably take 3-4 hours !!!!!! Maybe I'll just call off work Monday ... B)

In case anyone is wondering, the paint is the same color on the side covers and the tail. Inside the shed, it's blue, outside it's bluish green. I used Blue metal flake rattle can with 5 coats of clear.
Dale, I don't envy you at all with all the snow. Luckily, no snow over 8 inches at a time this year. Although, March isn't over yet:whistle:
I'm likin' the shine on this one...Almost an addiction to make it shine even more...am thinking of taking off the front forks for a treatment on my buffer:woohoo:

One other thing, as you can see, there is a battery spill on the muffler. I can't rechrome because of them being used. I thought about taking it off and taking them to my buffer and maybe blend it in.
Hope it works......

Bike looks great!Coming along nicely.
I too ,had battery acid spilled on my pipe, and yes...I DID manage to buff it out,on my polishing wheel with some polishing compound.Took that nasty-looking stain, and pretty much made it dissapear.
I think,if I really look for the mark,it would be visible, but it did blend it in nicely.B)

I thought about re-chroming the turns, but they are pitted and not worth the time. Z1 has them for a little over $21 each, so I'll probably go that route.

Check out www.partsnmore.com/cat_index.php?model=k...&category=electrical

They have them for a wopping $12 a piece. Partsnmore has cheap shipping prices too but you have to spend $35 or so to place an order.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.
Easy...I looked at the ones from partsnmore, but for some reason they look like plastic to me. One other thing that seemed odd, was that everywhere I have looked, they all have (2) wire assemblies listed for my
B1, but my wiring is for (1) wire lamps. So, I think I will go with the ones from Z1 as they seemed to be of better quality. Besides, I need more stuff to complete this ride, and from what I hear, Z1 is the way to go.
Which reminds me, if anyone knows where I can find a RH exhaust cover, please let me know. It's the style that mounts directly to the muffler.(not the clamp style)
Thanks again

Those covers turn up on eBay on occasion. You might try the Wanted section of the classifieds here. Last year I got a a pair of them from another member over on kz650.info
