Well, I'll be taking the engine out of the bike soon to powder coat the frame. I'm building a sturdy work table to work on the engine that will allow rotating the engine. I'll have all winter to try different approaches and products after walnut shell blasting. I know it will be a pain to get all the grit out of the nooks and crannies, but with a free-standing engine, a brush and air compressor, I think it'll do the job. I'll shell-blast it outside before the cold sets in, and then go to town on polishing.

I have no need to tear the engine down, so all work will be done on a fully assembled engine. I will post pics as I progress with the different methods/products. The pic on the MAAS polish e-Bay site has to be a "doctored" photo, and highly unlikely that it's the result of only the polish (no, not people from Poland - the creme thing their lying about:P ).

Now if I could find a source for walnut shell blast media in the Detroit area...

You can actually get a mirror finish on a engine. Go to TarheelPolish.com and look at all the small buffs they have to get in the crooks and crannies.
My friend Steve is very good at detail work. I'm Not!

I couldn't find any reference to Tarheelpolish.com. Did they change their name?
Thanks,
