Here are a couple of pics from this weekends progress.

I've put about 60 miles on it since the swap was finished on Saturday and i'm extremely pleased so far.

I feel much more confident on the bike now. It's nice to have a front suspension thats as smooth as the rear is!!

Now I just need to find someone to fab and weld the rear shock mounting tabs on my swingarm so that I can get the rear end swap underway!

And just for reference, here's how she looked when I bought her.

How do you like the paint gun from Harbor Freight? And wich one did you get as in price wise?

Here's where I was. I'm currently in the process of reshaping an LTD style seat to be more of a solo seat.

A little more shaping to the seat

that seat looks great. B) the lines of the seat fit in so well with the lines of the bike. great job! :)

The gun I bought was #43430 and is normally $59.99.
It was on sale for $39.99 and I had a coupon for an additional 15% off.

It's the only paintgun I've ever owned and used so I can only say that it seems to work fine for my intended purposes. Especially for the price. I looked at name brand guns online (what professionals recommended for beginners) and I would have had to spend near or over $100 to get something with a good brand name.

It's easy to clean and has worked well with the primer and color. I hope the clear goes as smoothly as the rest. Although I've heard that clear is the hardest to shoot!!

I cleared the side covers, fender and chin scoop tonight.
I'm extremely happy with how they turned out.

I put two coats of clear with 1 ounce of Kustom Shop Brilliant Gunmetal flake (got it from eBay) mixed into the quart. Then hit it with 3 more coats of clear.

Here's the sparkly goodness

I've installed my painted parts and a Dyna ignition and Accel coils and wires. My plug fouling problem is gone and the bike warms up very quickly now with no messing with the idle adjustment screw.

I just finished shaping my seat more and I'm taking it to the upholstery shop after work today.

I've got some feelers out for swingarm shock tab welding but I haven't heard anything yet.

Here's a pic from yesterday.
