'Finished' KZ550 - Pics!

Hey,

So I still have my rear end to finish up..fiberglass, etc. But here's the new paintjob! I hope to get the glasswork done in the next month or so, still waiting on better weather.

That's excellent...your seat sure looks nicer than it did in paper mache' and raw foam! Nice job.

still haven't finished the seat yet..but yeah, it'll definitely look nice when it's finished.

That's the glass work I alluded to.

Are you talking about the disc's on the exhaust end of the muffler? If so, that's a standard SuperTrapp muffler, add or remove the disc's for tuning noise/performance.

Yeah - it's a supertrapp with 4 plates in it.. when I got it, it had 9, but there was a huge drop in power in the midrange, so I've taken out most of 'em. I love putting them in though..so much top end speed!

I might get another pack of 6, just to try it. :evil:

Unfortunately, the night after my maiden voyage on her, I noticed a small puddle of gas in the garage.. apparently I sprung a couple pinhole leaks in the bottom left and right of the tank as I was sanding down the original paint. I've JB'd her, so hopefully i can get it back on the road soon. Just have to touch up the paint after it's fully cured. It only got to about an inch square of paint, so nothing horrible.

Nice job .I like the flag too.By adding more plates are you adding back pressure? Is this giving you more top end and les mid?
