Good Morning,
Posting here to say, thanks community for still being here. I bought my first "bike" when I was 12, so been on 2 wheels for over 40 years. I currently own a ZRX1100 which I bought new, and a project KZ440 basket case that I've started working on again, after not touching for several years. I also owned a KZ650 which I took from a barely running lump, to a beautiful solid runner. I sold her several years ago though, then quickly bought and sold a KZ400, and now the 440. During my KZ650 refurbishment, I became very active on the KZ650_info board, but then after selling my 650, and buying an E55 AMG, my interest in riding waded quite a bit. But now I'm trying to jump start that old love for bikes by diving back in, and I was quite sad to see the old 650_info board is no more. I suppose it's gone the way of most old bikes. Anywho, I've lurked here forever, but now will probably be active. I'll try not to be too annoying. Also, when I have time figure out how to post pictures (what the hell is that dummy Latin text box about???) I'll share my current bikes

Thanks, and see ya around.
Paul

Welcome to the fun! from a former kz650.info staff.   You will find the same level of knowledge if not more here as you did there.  When you can post some pics, as we all like the eye candy.

Thanks all. Here's a picture of my current (working) ride. I've done a bit of cosmetic stuff to it over the years and some small performance mods too. It's such a great all around, do everything well bike.

This was my KZ650. I have to say, I owe a lot of thanks to all the members of the old 650_info board. I could never had turned it into a proper bike without them. And, buying the 650 really upped my wrenching game. Got to love these old (mostly) analog bikes. One is original, the other is after fitting C model wheels and brakes.

Agree great looking machines.  I am interested in learning what you do with your latest project.

Thanks. I'll start a thread somewhere, and I'll start posting my progress. I'm pretty far from the basket case pictured above, but I'll catch everyone up as best I can. I've come quite a distance since purchase, and put too much money into it already. But I'm at the point of no return now. It's all in, or out with my skin. I'm doubling down.

"put too much money into it already" I think a lot of us here may be familiar with that phrase !  But when it's done it's worth the effort.
