KZ650 LTD in SoCal was created by Kexchers
I just bought my first bike, a 1980 KZ650 LTD with a Yoshimura big bore kit. Definitely a lot more bike than I was aiming for as my first but I saw it, loved it, and talked the P.O. down to a grand.
It needs some work but it runs well, starts on the first kick and doesn't scare me...yet.
I haven't had a chance to ride it more than 20 feet yet because the back tire is completely finished.
A long list of upgrades/repairs exist already lol.

It will be fine, just take your time. congrats on your first bike. I started biking only a year ago and had 5 bikes. Gave one away the small 350 cafe racer). Still have four, all in good shape. Here they are. be careful, you may end up buying more!

It was a new 900 when it turned 1000 miles on the 405 FWY at 2 AM in 75. I downshifted and nailed it through the gears all tucked in. The speedo read 155 MPH and the street lights looked like a picket fence. Never did it again. Too squirrely.

WOW I would love to do that. The fastest I have been is 120 on my Honda 750. Bike was so steady I thought I was doing 60.

At 120 it's not too bad. The bike seem lighter above that so I try not to go there. Gotta finish my swing arm mod.
That means fender eliminator or extension and minor frame mods.
