Thanks Patton, good stuffs.

Never had the car running when I jumped it, didn't need the extra voltage.

Whelp, I just ordered $250 worth of jets, I better be able to get it right! I used the formula OMR posted on another thread, and got one size up plus one size down. And of course the jets are $7/ea x 4....
Wonder what I should do with the extra jets when I'm done...

Good grief. Those pods are costing you a bundle. :( Ed

Haha yuuuup.
If anyone needs jets for their Mikuni 34CVs, I'll sell em to ya cheap!

Pulled the carbs off again, and am going to give them a once-over on everything. I'm pretty sure the pilot pathways were clean, but I picked up some 28 and 24gauge wire to run through them just to be sure. In the meantime will do compression and timing checks before jets arrive.

Compression is a touch low, 85,80,90,85. Timing is spot on.

I did that compression test with no oil dropped in the cylinder, should I do that?

With oil, 120, 110, 140, 145. I'm a bit concerned with the left bank being that much lower than the right, but is it enough to warrant pulling the head?

Did you put EXACTLY the same amount of oil in each cylinder? If it was not measured very carefully the results will be misleading. Consider the following generic example:

Erm, I did not measure, I guesstimated. I may have put a bit more in the right two. The thought did cross my mind that I would be taking away air volume. I tried for a tsp, maybe a bit more.
