I am still battling with a slight and I mean really slight hesitation from idle to acceleration and only on quick twisting of the throttle. The bike does pull well through out the rpm range. My plugs seem to be ok maybe a bit lean. Today I pulled the 160 main jet and 40 pilot jet out to make sure they were clear of debris. I never thought anything of it but all the plugs that get installed under the pilot jets are gone. I bought the bike like this. Its a 1983 1100 spectre D2 with a mac 4 into 1 and pods. My question being do I need to install the plugs and if I do will I have to rejet it ? If I recall right the pilot jet gets it fuel directed from the main jet. Would'nt this setup make my bike run rich. My fuel mixtue screws are 4 to 5 turns out to make it run the way it is so right now my bike is lean.

Are you sure the carbs need the plugs? Are these 34's? Some 34's do not have plugs. Roy

With the missing pilot plugs, I think having them missing will tend to make the circuit slightly richer if anything. Plugs are available, as well as the o-rings.
Have you shimmed up your needles?

I have adjustable needles in it i have had them everywhere. And yes they are 34s i guess the only way for me ro tell is to look and see if there is a hole going from the main to the pilot bore. Or is there another way. The pilot jet i have in is a bleed type if that make any difference .

160 main jets sound way to big.

Would install plugs and o'rings as shown in kawasaki.com for the carbs in this model.

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

Ok i will order the plugs and install them. Try it out. I thought 160s were large but it seems to run really good right now. Its just my mixture screws are out 4 turns or more. In which if my thoughts are right it could be drawing the fuel direct using my pilots as a main on low which would be to small that's why the screws are out so far. What do you guys think. i thought i would be really rich but my plugs look ok.

Can anyone tell me where the best place to order the pilot jet plugs and some fuel mixture screw O rings from. I was on kawasaki.com and they are wanting 50 bucks for 4 of each. There must be a cheaper place?????

The 34 Cvs on my 82 GPZ 750 have aluminum plugs with flat o-rings {not rounded, flat on top & bottom }on top or bottom with carb upside down instead of the normal rubber plugs. Is this the o-ring youre seeing ?
