I'm not sure what you mean, is that a bad thing? Or is it supposed to be?

Also, besides doing the above suggestions, some guys around my area told me to use light duty metal polish with a q-tip for the float needle seats, stating it would work wonders for keeping the seats slick. Has anyone else had experience with this?

i would say, just about all of us do that. I use half a Q tip with the stick stuck in my battery drill and spin it in place for a few seconds with a couple drops of fine polishing paste on it.
Just clean the brass really well when done.

You set the Dyna S with the full advance line on the rotor not the F mark then lower the idle. Dip the q tip in metal polish, put it in a drill and use it to clean the seats. Mine were so bad I whittled a pencil so the tip would fit in then used fine valve grinding compound to reshape the seats. I also put the needles in a piece of tubing put it in the drill while using a flat stick and grinding compound to take the grooves out. It works. B)

Much appreciated Swest, although I did exactly what the pdf informed but my idle was popping like crazy afterward. Should I tune everything else around this new timing?

Popping could be lean, carbs way out of sync, etc. Pics of plugs?
