I'm telling you if 120mph-125mph top speed is fast enough for you.... 14/35 RIPS on the street.

What would that be if a 630 were used?

Whoa.... 16/45 is pretty low.... 630 and the 14//35 is a good street ratio for fun, but dang!! 16/45 ? Oh, wait, was that for strip use?

Got my 15T today. I'll put it on in the morning. Have to go back to the high desert so I'll be able to see the difference right off.
Bruce, I was wondering what the 14T does to your adjustment range? With a 16/35 and a 92 link O ring chain , I'm at the very beginning of the adjustment. Now with 1350 mile break in I'm at 1/8. I'll see where I stand with the smaller sprocket.

Steve with my eccentric style adjuster's looking at the right side with the 45-T sprocket
the axle's at about 4:00 o'clock with the 42 is about 7:00 o'clock and I don't do anything to the chain.
I have both sprocket's already mounted on sprocket carrier I pull the axle roll the wheel back and swap
the hole deal and stick the axle back in.

I guess that would be a one tooth equivalent on a countershaft sprocket with a 630 chain. About 2"?

The 14 / 35 forces me to pull the rear axle way back! Should be ok with your 92 link. I chose the 35 vs the old 33 so I coukd keep the axle in adjustment range but it really is a bit further back then I like.
I'm using a 94 link chain now and have the 15 / 35 on with 94 links.
The axle is still a bit rear of mid range, maybe three has marks from the end.
But 92 links pulls it a bit too far forward and I prefer my chain slack a bit more slack then a bit too tight!

With my 16/35 I still had enough slack in the chain to begin with. I love the HWY gearing but I suspect I'm wearing out my tire and clutch early. I guess I'll be looking for that 6th gear again.

I just went out and looked.
The alignment marks with the 94 link chain and the 15/35 combo, with my tension preference, is actually in front of the last notch on the swing arm!
No where to go now but this chain sprocket set has many thousands of miles on them.
I have not had the 14/35 set up on the bike since early last year but I know that combo needs my 92 link chain or you can't really tension a used chain correctly.
I have (all new) 94 link 630 chain and the two sprockets 15/35 set. I'll be swapping any day now so I'll get a better handle on this using zero wear parts!!
I wish I had a 6th gear too!!!

Well just got up here in Phelan. Not too much difference. Pulls away easier and gets to the power curve faster. Missed a shift the first time. I'm at 4000 at 70, 5000 at 90. Rode alongside a HD dresser for about 40 miles. Wished I had those 500 rpm's back. Pulls in 5th stronger, didn't have to downshift going up the grade at 60. I'd like to have a 14 in my arsenal for bike week. :woohoo: 1/2 hr job so it ain't too bad.
Lost 1/4 inch adjustment/ On the third notch. I think 92 is stock for the Z1/KZ 1000's.
I'll ride it like this for a while. B)
