i was wondering will a kz1000 manifold fit on a 1978 kz650? they look the same.

If you mean the exhaust headers, no. The KZ1000 is a Big Kaw.

The exhaust spacing is different & I think the pipes are larger --- the exhaust gaskets are 42 mm, while the 650's are 39 mm.
The 1000 engine is probably taller, so the header pipes would be longer.

Those are carb holders, & if you have 26 mm carbs, many 1000s also had 26 mm carbs, but the spacing of the bolt holes are different, you can only use ones from a KZ 650 or a KZ 750, I believe

Well when putting the kz1000s to the ones on the bike they look pretty similar as if they might fit

Well when you type in kz650 manifold that's what comes up and what its listed as so don't tell me what to call them
