No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI believe this is the same header pipe, in an unaltered form...

Stainless steel for sure. Heat shield is sort of ugly (my opinion). I've got a complete stock system like this in the garage. It's kind of heavy in stock form. I think that Kerker muffler should lighten it up though.

Interesting, I didn't realise the downpipes were stainless. Way to test (usually) is that it is non-magnetic, certianly 304 or 316 marine stainless. It also has a yellowish tinge rather than the blueish look of chrome, mine is wearing a stainless pipe too.

I note you have linked downpipes, the original 4-2 pipes had a link pipe too.

Cleaning up the stainless downpipes and that alloy kerker could be mirror polished quite easily.

Well, for the time being, I'm not building a beauty queen. If it looks a bit rough I'm not worried, I think of it as character. If it doesn't improve the performance that's ok too. As long as it looks different and not look like it's a tired stock bike.

I would definitely look out of place on a bike that was too pretty. I want too ride this bike as much as possible. If I end up polishing it up that'll be quite a bit in the future.

I got the set the other day. The header looks like it should fit just fine by just holding it up to the bike. The muffler looks like it wasn't actually ever fit to this collector or not very well.

It shouldn't be a huge chore to get everything mounted nicely. The only things I think I'll need something to act as a bushing between the muffler and pipe and adapt a hanger.

If I get the last part to swap out my oil pan today or tomorrow I'll get it tackled this weekend.

A good muffler shop should have a expander so it will slip together better.

The problem is that since it was chopped there are fairly large welds for the muffler to slip over this will obviously cause a poor fit and leaks. I'm planning to first grind the welds down then find something to slip in between the pipe and muffler if it doesn't clamp snugly on it's own. I'm thinking i could find a silicone coupling used for turbo inter-coolers. I'm sure I'll find something. I might want to get an elbow to kick it up at an angle anyway.

I removed the original pipes and offered up the ZR's and we have a fit. I might have to push the oil cooler tubing back a hair. The T bar clamp is seized up so i have to find a alternative, something to seal up at the connection and rig up a hanger that doesn't look too ghetto.

Ok I got the header on.

I had to push the oil cooler lines back just a bit as they were pushing right up on the crossover.

I had to take off the center stand which is something I was hoping wouldn't be the case. I guess I'll have to get a paddock stand.

I haven't found a suitable clamp yet. I was close but it wasn't quite small enough. I am using aluminum muffler repair tape as a gasket which actually seems to work well. I'll have to rig up some hangers too.

I think I've figured out hangers. The stock right hanger was cracked pretty bad. It looks like it had been repaired once but had cracked again parallel to the repair.

I swapped the left hanger to the right and it's positioned perfectly so I can run a 1/8x3/4" piece of aluminum strap with a half twist up to the Kerker mounting point.

I should be able to run another piece of strapping from the motor mount bolt just ahead of the foot peg down to the exhaust clamp.

Scratch this. I realized that bolt runs straight through the crank case. I don't want to mess with that. Maybe I'll just use some sort of spring set up off a different point. I have some old drum brake springs scattered around.
