I hit the end of the tightened bolt, and I didn't miss, but the heat from the torch combined with me smashing on it cracked a magnet...I think I am going to take the cutting wheel and just cut around where the magnets are so I can get in and have a good angle to cut the rotor off. it's a gpz rotor...I presume the LTD rotor will fit, this motor will go into the LTD and the LTD motor will be taken out in a couple years and won't need a rotor.

BTW, this viking isn't giving up! I will get the bastards off, they will be cut asunder with my broadsword (die grinder)

According to kawasaki.com, the '83 GPz1100 rotor 21007-1076 (shown as canceled) is used on 4 models:
ZN1100-B1 (LTD Shaft) (1984)
ZN1100-B2 (LTD Shaft) (1985)
ZX1100-A1 (GPz) (1983)
ZX1100-A2 (GPz) (1984)

As previously noted, the '82 1000 LTD uses rotor 21007-1036.

Am uncertain of difference between the two rotors.
Perhaps the crankshaft end taper is slightly different between the two motors.

Good Fortune! :)

Wow, that impact sounded really wimpy. Probly just contributed to the stripping of the threads.

F#$& the rotor and just cut it off like ya said.

Impact should be fast and loud, like you hear at a shop... ;)

Do it, just DO IT.

it is loud and fast, but the bolt isn't moving, so it doesn't spin. lol

I do plan on returning it though, so I may just get a better one...

SO, I am returning the impact driver, and have ordered a new one, and much better one. While I wait for it to come in the motor will sit there looking at me angrily with the rotor puller bolt hardon it has wishing it could "get off". get it, (I'm here all week, try the veal). In the meantime I will be addressing more pressing matters, like the painting of my new bodywork and putting new tires on me new rims etc, stuff that will actually be going onto m bike next year.

I've always been fond of the electrics for some reason. Many come with really good warranties, and dont require a huge compressor and tank to lug around with you. Plus they're cheaper bang for the buck.
