A friend recently picked up this bike. He's a classic bike lover but keeps his eye on the ball and flips for profit when the right offer comes along.

Question is what to do with this bike?

Restore it and keep it.

I think that same motorcycle was for sale a few years ago on eBay but didn't reach a threshold bid. Bear in mind that I am somewhat biased, but he should keep it and restore it. He will truly have a rare motorcycle...there are perhaps several dozen of those in North America as they were never marketed here (most came from Japan with returning US servicemen). Have your friend check www.freewebs.com/750rs/ for additional info (if he hasn't done so already)...the 750 site owner (John Brookes) is very helpful and will respond to any questions (he probably knows more about the Z2 series than any other English-speaking expert).

As an aside, if your friend is going to flip it, then his strongest market is in Japan and not North America or Europe.

Saw one a few years ago and had to do a double take. Great looking bike when cleaned up and in the original colours
