Forwards, is about the only place to look on a Harley, because in front is just about where every other bikes going to be :) It's also the direction I always look when I've been embarrassed - straight ahead :)

yeah well they're asking for it. It's bad enough here in NZ, it must be rife in the US. Every 50 year old with a few bucks thinks he cutting loose by buying a Harley with some cool matching kit. I rode on for the first time recently. I thought the motor was broken!

Us motorcyclists need to have comedy in our lives, thats why Harleys were invented. I had one on the weekend trying to outrun me through tight twisty bends, I was so busy laughing I nearly missed a turn.
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, getting new/ refurbished 83-84 motor soon
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as above)

No front end. Obviously he didn't want to spend money on it.

I answered a ad in CL two years ago. A guy in the high desert was advertising his Go fund me account. This guy was asking for donations to overhaul his Harley . I told him my bike sat under a tree for 15 years until I could scrape up the money to overhaul and register it. I wouldn't dream of asking strangers to pay for a rebuild.
He said, "Have fun riding brother."
Maybe it's the a$$hole in me but it seems just wrong.

The Moto Guzzi Tri King was a pretty nicely presented machine if you like that kinda thing
Not wrong at all Steve - i would have added "you have got to be f**king joking and i am not your brother. Now that GO Fark me account is just ridiculous and damn rude.

There's nothing wrong about asking for help for the right reasons. The ad stayed up for a couple weeks then was gone. My daughter took her ad down due to rude comments. Seems people will help a dog but not a child.

Doh! charity appeal for a Harley rebuild?

Charity to me is an eye hospital in India or even closer to home, we have needy people here too. I've even given a couple of pounds for homeless winos to spend on booze..." There but I go for the grace of God".

I think I'll start a new thread for my 'appeal' to get a Rolex President. I need an accurate chronometer so i can get to work on time otherwise I'll starve.
