Even if the older bike models are added, as it is currently implemented the new part diagram interface isn't nearly as useful the old. I know you're not speaking for Kawasaki, but do have have any sense for how likely it is that these additional features will be added to the new parts diagram interface?

That's a good question, again I can't answer for what features may be added to the parts diagrams. This would be good feedback to go to Kawasaki Corporate. They drive the requirements for the site. I hadn't read all the earlier posts, so thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I really don't think any of the higher ups at KMC really give a flying f**k about us and our classic old Kawasaki's. Its sad but most likely true. They want to sell new units. Not cater to people that in their mind are just too old to even think about buying another new unit from them!!!

Again I can't speak for Kawasaki, but in all my dealings with Kawasaki I find this not to be true. I made a similar statement to a Kawi person once and he said "hell no, we LOVE the old KZ's" I've heard (but not seen) that their headquarters has quite a nice collection of bikes they are very proud of their heritage and I believe they want to support their customers. Please keep the feedback coming:

Just PM me, Bill.

email sent. I was surprised that the page actually accepted a Canadian postal code instead of a US Zip code. Good parts diagrams are a large part of the reason all our large home appliances are GE and of course the reason my next bike will be a Kawasaki.

Nice to have the info and feedback from JoeK = thanks Joe

I dealt with KMC for 22 years from working in Kawasaki dealerships. Some of their employees were great people and would go out of their way to help you. But some of the higher ups in the sales department were nothing more than used car salesmen. When they start calling bikes 'units' and not bikes you know it all about sales numbers to them.

He said
.......We appreciate receiving your feedback
concerning the changes to the online parts diagrams that we offered on our
website. We are currently working on updating our website and hope to have
the information you are looking for available soon. In the meantime, I'd
be happy to send you an electronic copy of the parts diagrams for the model
you are interested in. Please send me the year and model of what you are
trying to acquire and I will be glad to send it right away..............

:)

No information though on the sites ability to cross reference part #s or provide availability information but definitely a step in the right direction.
I would encourage everyone who has not done so to click on the link in JoeK's post above and continue to give feedback.

I sent a note about the site several days ago but haven't heard back.....yet. Maybe too many comments to handle?

I can confirm that KZ is working on getting the diagrams back up. Looks like I got the same email you all did. Sounds like our complaining paid off! If you need the email of the CSR that is sending out the diagrams PM me and I'll give it to you.

I just received the complete diagram for my bike from the representative at Kawasaki. From what I can tell they're doing what they can to get diagrams to people in a timely manner. Only took him an hour once I told him what model of bike. I've been talking with Mike D'Agata. He's a good guy.
